Dimension : 60 x 70 cm
"Lost Identity" explores the complex journey of losing and rebuilding one's sense of self. The drawing captures the unsettling yet transformative process of navigating a new environment, where old identities blur and new ones begin to take shape. Amidst this flux, the piece delves into themes of personal development and the quest for a future self. Through a blend of figurative elements and elegance, "Lost Identity" visually represents the tension and harmony between the past and the emerging new identity, inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences of growth and change.
In this work, the artist consciously chose not to represent eyes, often considered the reflection of the soul. This omission signifies the absence of a clear, defined identity, emphasizing the theme of a blurred, evolving self. By replacing this focal point with an infinite brushstroke, the artist highlights the fluidity and uncertainty inherent in the process of personal transformation.
The partially blocked background further reinforces this theme, symbolizing the barriers and unknowns we encounter in our journey. It reflects the obscured and incomplete nature of our past, suggesting that some aspects of our identity remain hidden or inaccessible as we strive to shape a new future. This element invites viewers to ponder what is left behind and to reflect on what is yet to be discovered in the ongoing evolution of identity.
